Flyways of the Ortolan Bunting

We search to better known the origin and the migration routes of birds flows through the south-west of France (including Landes) in the fall, and migration routes of different breeding populations to Russia. Continue reading

African and Asian Houbara Bustards in the face of global change

We studied the cases of population reinforcement at large scale of two endangered bustard species, the sedentary African Houbara and the migratory Asian Houbara. We modelled the current and future distributions of these species at the horizon 2070 under two socio-economic scenarios using a multi-modelling approach. Continue reading

The Red-bellied Squirrel colonisation

The Red-bellied Squirrel was introduced on the Cap d’Antibes (Alpes Maritimes) in the late 1960s. We developed a model coupling a cellular automaton which estimates the probability of dispersal and a model of metapopulation dynamics to estimate the risks of extension of it range. Continue reading

Connectivity of the meta-community in urban landscape.

We assessed the fit of these predicted connectivity to empirical data on plant communities embedded in an urban matrix. And our results indicate that connectivity estimated with the flow metric and taking into account the matrix heterogeneity produce the best fit to the empirical data. Continue reading

Heron recolonization in France

We investigate the recolonization dynamic of the Grey Heron in France, by an approach that makes use of both census and habitat suitability data and integrates them into a spatially explicit model of colonization dynamics (cellular automaton). Continue reading
